About Us – Help A Teacher Foundation

The Help A Teacher Foundation assists teachers in many areas, including:

Books for classroom libraries

Motivational opportunities with top educators

Opportunities for continuing education

Educational materials

Snacks for children when hunger is an issue

Supplies for classrooms

The Help A Teacher Foundation is directed by three board members: Debbie Scott, Damian Castillo, and William Doonan. They, like so many others who support Help A Teacher, are committed to helping teachers. They will ensure that every cent donated will be invested in supporting the operations of Help A Teacher as well as improving the well being of our teachers. The board will also look to the future to identify new opportunities to expand support for teachers and to enhance their leadership abilities.

The Help a Teacher Foundation is a Texas 501c3 Nonprofit Corporation.

A second entity, Help A Teacher Foundation, was established as a nonprofit corporation to accept charitable donations to provide funding for operations that keep Help A Teacher running smoothly and to help teachers in a variety of ways. For example, donations to the Foundation will support:

Hosting for our websites

Software and internet security

Salaries of key personnel

Advertising and promotion expenses

Numerous giveaways of supplies
